Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for SSC CGL 2023, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria set by the Staff Selection Commission.

Nationality

• Candidates must be citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age : 18 Years
• Maximum Age : 27-32 Years (Post Wise)
• As on January 01, 2023

• The age limit varies for different posts. Generally, it ranges from 18 to 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Educational Qualifications

Application Process

The application process for SSC CGL 2023 is entirely online. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Visit the Official SSC Website: Go to SSC’s official website and navigate to the ‘Apply’ section.
2. Registration: Click on ‘New User? Register Now’ and fill in the required details to generate a registration ID and password.
3. Filling the Application Form: Log in using the registration ID and password. Fill in the necessary personal, educational, and contact details.
4. Uploading Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned.
5. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee through online modes such as credit/debit card, net banking, or through offline mode by generating an SBI Challan.
6. Submit the Application: Review all the details and submit the application form. Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for SSC CGL 2023 consists of four tiers:

Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

• This is a preliminary exam that includes sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

Tier-II: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

• This tier consists of four papers: Quantitative Abilities, English Language & Comprehension, Statistics, and General Studies (Finance & Economics).

Tier-III: Descriptive Paper

• This is a pen-and-paper-based test where candidates must write essays, letters, applications, etc. in English or Hindi.

Tier-IV: Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

• This tier is applicable to specific posts and includes Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
